Paccheri is the symbol of Gragnano IGP pasta. The name comes from the Neapolitan word pacchero, meaning a slap. According to tradition, artisanal pasta makers would lightly slap scugnizzi (street children) who tried to gather and eat the leftover pasta left out to dry.
In the kitchen, paccheri pairs well with almost everything, from meat-based sauces to seafood dishes.
