Chianina ragout

Chianina is one of the oldest and most important beef breeds in Italy, and its name comes from the area where this breed is located: the Valdichiana, in Tuscany.
Among all suppositions about its origin, the most valued has hystorical explanations, it’s an autoctone breed, or at least it’s been living in that area for the mists of time.
Nowadays, this precious breed, is protected by the European certification IGP which vouches for its quality and originality.
